Patrick Kane's return to Chicago was a poignant and emotional event for both him and Blackhawks fans. For the first time, he was on the ice as a member of the opposing team. During a stoppage in the first period, the Chicago crowd gave him a lengthy standing ovation, honoring his 16 seasons with the team and his role in winning three Stanley Cups. Later in a dramatic finish, Kane scored the game-winning goal in overtime on a breakaway.
